Mr. Brown

Today, they decided that your life in your death was not worth defending
Today, they made it seem like your death was in your hands
It seems that it was unwritten that they would not play on your behalf, trying you instead
Who blames victims?
To know that you were tried twice was very disheartening
It was a hard pill to swallow, knowing that the man who took your life would not stand trial in your death
It has been emotional for many involved
So many questions
Do our lives truly matter
Who will stand up for us
Will we ever see justice
Why must we be prosecuted, put on trial instead of being defended
Two Americas, regardless of what some think
Know that there are people fighting on your half
