"God don't want someone like me in His church."

Watching "I'm in Love with a church girl," and Ja Rule made a good point: "God don't want someone like me in His church."

Wow.

Think about who Jesus had walking with Him. It wasn't the super-religious, I'll tell you that. I can relate to Ja Rule's character, though. How many times have I visited a church and felt like I didn't belong? Or they act one way on Sunday and another way Monday through Saturday. People fail to realize that the air they put on can keep people from coming back again.

And yet the church wonders why many don't want to worship, go to church, or believe in God.

Has the church gotten that holy, that it has forgotten the purpose of its creation? How many people does the church turn away because they are undesirable, dressed wrong, or done some shady stuff? Who among is perfect? Who among us was born saved? Jesus sought us, not the other way around. So, let us remember the reason we are here: to minister to ourselves and those most in need of God's love (well, that would be all of us, but, hey...)
