Sunday January 11, 2015 Thought: judging

People are good for judging other people based on their past, their financial status, their home (or lack of a home), their clothes or style, their education or where they went to school, their sexual orientation, their accent, their religion or lack thereof, their hair, their skin tone, their weight, their teeth - whatever they can rag someone about. Sadly, some people never grow out of the middle school/high school phase of taunting others that don't fit into their mold. "If it's not my way, it can't be right." I went through middle and high school relatively untouched, even though I was the fat quiet kid who liked to read. But, there were classmates that were picked on, and it was just crazy.

But you know what I'm happy about? That there is a God that doesn't judge me based on man's superficial nonsense, and He meets me where I am. That's encouraging, especially in a world where so many want to keep you where you are so they can feel better about themselves. Does He correct me when I need to be corrected? Yes. But there's corrective criticism and judgment made in spite, as with any relationship.

Anyway, that's my stank for today.
