Random Hump Day Thoughts

It's funny how, as hopeful as one can be, you can have a moment that sends you in to a panic. Well, not so much a panic as much as it is "just a moment" - mope-y with a side of really? Sometimes, you try and try, and it seems like your best isn't enough. You get into "what did I do wrong?" "what could I have done better?" You think if you're really going down the right path. Doubt is a MO-FO, isn't it?

I can see where I want to be: hob-nobbing with people of all walks of life, wanting to know how they're doing, wanting to know their ideas on how to better their lives and communities, speaking with them on their level. I can see myself doing proposals and writing grants, short stories, getting properties and making them useful for people of all socioeconomic levels. But I'm in that rut...that "how do I get the experience I need"/"how do I even get started" rut. Totally blows chunks.

I also ask myself, "how do I get past the 'I get bored easily?'" rut? Me being me, my mind is always going 24/7. I've been described as a nomad...I like to explore my options. I enjoy flexibility more than anything. That has kind of worked against me, I'll admit it. The only time that doesn't hurt me is when I'm blogging or writing just for fun. I know people say to find what you love to do, something that you'd do regardless of if you got paid for it or not. For me, that's writing, reading, and listening to people/recommending services. I'll figure out something with that.
